Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES)
Local IES Sections and many lighting corporations offer formal educational programs on lighting, utilizing material developed by IES. Sections offer programs related to specific applications based on IES standards - seminars on sports and recreational lighting, lighting industrial facilities, roadway lighting, museum lighting, to name a few. Virtually every curriculum devoted to lighting - from beginner to advanced - includes IES educational materials. Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)
Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional (CLEP) AEE's Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional (CLEP) program is designed to provide recognition for professionals who have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field of lighting efficiency. The designation CLEP identifies individuals who have demonstrated high levels of experience, competence, proficiency, and ethical fitness, bringing to their professional activities the full scope of knowledge requisite to the development and implementation of effective lighting efficiency solutions within the commercial, industrial, institutional and governmental market sectors. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED AP) LEED Professional Credentials (LEED AP and Green Associate) recognize professionals who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building techniques, the LEED green building rating systems, and the certification process. The LEED Professional Credentials program is administered by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI), which was established with the support of USGBC to allow for objective, balanced management of the credential program. Safety The management and employees of Lighting Services, Inc. are committed to a safe work environment and operates in full compliance with all safety and health regulations established by federal, state and local governments. An effective safety program requires site-specific planning, accountability, attitude and training. Each project is closely analyzed to identify and mitigate risks to the health and well-being of our installation teams and our customer's employees. Every person on the worksite shares equally the responsibility to maintain a safe working environment. Project Managers and foremen are directly accountable to management for the crew's safety. Taking corrective action on safety hazards is appreciated and encouraged at all levels of employment. All project personnel must participate in our orientation program, which includes the recognition of safety and environmental health issues as project priorities.
